TERMS AND CONDITIONS

"Members" (Volunteers and Stays)* agree to be legally bound to the Terms and Conditions herein, which shall take effect immediately on the first use of the website at www.volunteerstays.com. *all Members, regardless of whether the Membership is free or paid.

INFORMATION ACCURACY

While VolunteerStays takes reasonable steps to present complete and accurate information, we cannot be responsible for the accuracy of information provided in our Members' profiles. "Members" (Volunteers and Stays) are asked to keep their profiles up to date and remove or hide their listings if no longer valid. VolunteerStays reserves the right to moderate listings and remove inactive accounts. Administration may also edit, delete or hide portions of a profile and post a stock photo or avatar if no photo has been uploaded.

VolunteerStays is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by errors, omissions, misleading information, or any potential travel problems caused by information provided in the website at www.volunteerstays.com.

RESPONSIBILITY

It should be remembered that VolunteerStays.com provides an international listing of Volunteers and Stays for the purpose of introducing travelers and hosts for short-term work exchanges. All arrangements are entirely between the Stay and the Volunteer. VolunteerStays cannot be held responsible for any acts or actions that occur between any Member (Volunteer or Stay) or any third party including any associate of a Volunteer or Stay.

PRIVACY

VolunteerStays will not sell your personal information to anyone. Your email address, mailing address, and phone number will not be publicly displayed on our website and Members are not allowed to advertise this information in their profile. This is to protect both you and our business.

CONTACTING OTHER MEMBERS

Members may initiate contact with each other through the website. If contacted, you will receive a notification from volunteerstays.com in your email (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc.). It will include the sender's personal email address so you can respond. You are under no obligation to reply to an email from a Stay or Volunteer.

Please ensure that volunteerstays.com is added to your email safe list so you do not miss any emails. Note that only premium Members may contact one another.

We encourage Volunteers and Stays to get as much information as they can about each other, ask questions, and work out the details of their Stay arrangements. VolunteerStays cannot be responsible for any written or verbal exchanges that take place between Members.

GOOD FAITH

If you cannot make an arranged stay then you must let the host or volunteer know in advance as soon as possible. It is very unfair on Stays and Volunteers to make plans and arrangements only to have them fall through at the last minute. If you fail to notify a Stay or Volunteer on more than one occasion VolunteerStays may suspend or cancel your Membership without refund.

FEEDBACK

Volunteer and Stay Feedback is provided for the benefit of our Members. Feedback may not contain allegations of criminal activity, offensive comments or defame a member's character. Libellous Feedback will be considered in breach of the Terms and Conditions of the website. Feedback placed by both Volunteers and Stays may be moderated by administration staff. Offensive or malicious Feedback will be removed. Feedback is provided to help others.

Feedback does not reflect the opinions of VolunteerStays.

VISAS

Volunteers must make their own visa and travel arrangements. Please get in touch with your embassy prior to departure. VolunteerStays and hosts will not assist with visa applications or contribute towards a Volunteer's travel expenses.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

In case of injury, illness, or loss, we highly recommend some kind of personal / travel insurance. Check your policy to see if you're covered for specific activities, such as horseback riding or scuba diving. Some hosts may insist that you have insurance and will require proof. VolunteerStays accepts no liability and will not be held responsible in any way for work, Volunteer or Stay related incidents under any circumstances. We highly recommend that all Volunteers take out an adequate insurance policy and that all Stays also hold insurance to cover any work related incident.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VolunteerStays from any claim or demand, including reasonable lawyers' fees, made by any third party arising out of or related to your violation of the Terms and Conditions, or your violation of any law, regulation or third-party right. VolunteerStays can not be held responsible for the actions of its Members.

REPORTING A MEMBER

If a registered Member (Volunteer or Stay) of VolunteerStays wishes to report a serious concern which may relate to a criminal act, this must be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies in the country in which the incident took place.

If a member wishes to complain about a Volunteer or Stay for actions they deem 'inappropriate' or of a criminal nature, such concerns must be made through our 'Report a Member' link in the "Contact Us" area of the website. We will record all such Concerns internally and monitor any further concerns against a Volunteer or Stay that may be in violation of the Terms and Conditions.

CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP

VolunteerStays maintains the right to suspend or cancel a Membership for any reason and without refund for actions which are deemed to be in breach of the Terms and Conditions or for actions deemed to be detrimental to the spirit of this site. Such actions may include the mistreatment of Members, spamming, soliciting of Members or promotion of other websites.

UPDATES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

VolunteerStays reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to edit and change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Your continued use of the VolunteerStays website following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By registering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept the Terms and Conditions and that this has the same force and effect as a signed agreement.

DISCLAIMER

VolunteerStays accepts no liability for any Volunteer or Stay related incidents.
